About CYHRA
As they approach their 10th anniversary in 2026, CYHRA has firmly established their presence in the metal community since their formation in 2016. The band was founded by Jake E and Jesper Strömblad (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES) and quickly expanded to include drummer Alex Landenburg (KAMELOT), guitarist Euge Valovirta (SUBURBAN TRIBE), and bassist Peter Iwers (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES).
Their debut album, “Letters To Myself,” released in 2017, received critical acclaim, propelling them onto global stages including a North American tour with SABATON and KREATOR. Following the departure of Iwers, Valovirta took over bass duties, leading to their 2019 album “No Halos In Hell,” which featured the hit single “Out Of My Life.” Over the years, they have toured extensively, sharing stages with acts like BATTLE BEAST and DELAIN, and performing at major festivals.
In 2020, guitarist Marcus Sunesson joined the ranks, and despite the pandemic, the band continued to create, culminating in their third album, “The Vertigo Trigger,” released in 2023. CYHRA is currently working on their fourth album, adding to their discography with recent singles “Superman” and “Skin From Bones.”
