
Deliver Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes has lambasted one of the most band’s maximum debatable tracks at a contemporary are living display.
Photos uploaded to X (previously Twitter) on Monday (June 24), displays the vocalist onstage responding to a request from an target audience member for the United Kingdom pop-metal stars to play their 2019 monitor Medication.
“Alright, what are we gonna do? What do you want to listen to?” Sykes asks within the clip (embedded under).
After a pause, he continues: “Medication? Are you guys alright? You just right, you just right, proper?
“You guys wish to listen Medication? Even I feel that track’s shit!”
Deliver Me The Horizon launched Medication in January 2019 as a unmarried from their then-upcoming 6th album, Amo.
The track proved immediately debatable, because it confirmed the band ditching a lot in their heavy steel roots and entirely pursuing a clean-cut pop sound.
Sykes wrote the track’s lyrics about his divorce from his ex-wife, tattoo artist Hannah Snowden.
The singer mentioned of Medication to NME in 2018: “I don’t need it to look like I care, and I didn’t wish to dredge up the previous.
“I didn’t wish to give the individual the ‘glory’ of writing stuff about them and shit like that.
“After some time it simply turned into obvious that I had to. I had to get it out of my device.”
