Foreigner and Lou Gramm Announce 2026 Tour Dates
Foreigner, the iconic rock band, along with its cofounding frontman Lou Gramm, has unveiled new concert dates for 2026. This announcement adds excitement to their ongoing occasional reunion performances, showcasing the enduring legacy of the band.
Upcoming Concerts and Tour Details
The newly scheduled shows will kick off on April 17 in St. Augustine, Florida, and conclude on April 23 in Key West. These six concerts featuring Gramm will complement an already extensive touring schedule, with Foreigner set to perform over 50 additional gigs throughout the year.
Lou Gramm’s Recent Performances
Gramm recently wrapped up a series of performances that celebrated the band’s 1981 hit album, *4*. The setlists featured a mix of beloved classics and some rarely played tracks from that era. Among the highlights was “Luanne,” which made its first appearance in 40 years, and “Don’t Let Go,” a song that had never been performed live before. These deep cuts were part of the promotion for an expanded box set of the album that was recently released.
An Update on Mick Jones
During a concert on December 11 in Montclair, New Jersey, Gramm took a moment to update fans about Mick Jones, the band’s legendary guitarist and cofounder, who has been absent from touring due to health issues. “We saw him last week at his apartment. He’s doing pretty good. He sends his best to you guys,” Gramm told the audience before dedicating “Girl on the Moon,” a track written by Jones, to him.
Mick Jones’s Health and Involvement
Jones, who has not been on stage with the band for several years, disclosed in early 2024 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He emphasized that while he is not performing, he remains actively involved behind the scenes with Foreigner, stating, “I am still very much involved in the background with Foreigner and remain a presence.”
Celebrating 50 Years of Foreigner
As Foreigner approaches their 50th anniversary in 2026, they have exciting plans to commemorate this milestone. Alongside Gramm and Jones, the current band members are working on finishing unreleased tracks from their archives. Bassist Jeff Pilson mentioned that they have discovered several tracks from the *Agent Provocateur* album sessions that are worth completing, along with other pieces from throughout the band’s history.
Documentary in the Works
In addition to new music, a documentary about Foreigner is set to be released in the upcoming year. This film will incorporate footage from various sources, including a recent performance filmed at Ellis Island featuring Gramm and special guests against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty.
Upcoming Live Performances
Fans eager to catch Foreigner live will have numerous opportunities throughout 2026. The band will kick off their year with a series of unplugged shows in late February, followed by special orchestral concerts in Las Vegas. Their international tour will begin in June, traveling to Denmark, Germany, the UK, and more, featuring new lead singer Luis Maldonado, who joined the band earlier this year.
