The Remaining Dinner Celebration have lined Blondie’s 1980 unmarried Name Me for Australian broadcaster triple j’s Like A Model collection.
Explaining why they selected this actual tune to hide, bassist Georgia Davies says, “When me and Abi [vocalist Abigail Morris] had been youngsters, we used to hide that tune as our go-to at Karaoke.”
Morris notes that the usage of the phrase ‘quilt’ here’s slightly free, and admits, “We used to smash it at area events and transparent the room. That is us seeking to reclaim all the ones years and do it neatly.”
“It is the sort of amusing and explosive tune to do,” Davies provides.
“It is very TLDP, I believe,” Morris says. “It is very glad, just a little attractive, just a little playful… additionally very commanding as neatly…. that more or less frontwoman power of being in command of your individual sexuality, and I believe we are all the time interested in song like that. Name Me is a in reality just right instance of that energy and playfulness in combination.”
