Robert Reed has launched coated Mathematician’s Air Show via the overdue Finnish prog rocker Pekka Pohjola and you’ll be able to watch a brand spanking new video for it under.
The unique featured on Pohjola’s 1977 album Keesojen Lehto [aka: The Mathematician’s Air Display; The Consequences Of Indecisions] which featured visitor appearances from Mike Oldfield, his sister Sally and Gong drummer, the overdue Pierre Moerlen.
The brand new duvet model is taken from Reed’s upcoming undertaking Sanctuary Lined, which is launched via Tigermoth Data on August 16 and which sees the Magenta mainman exploring a number of subject matter from composers, that experience impressed and influenced him together with, along Pohjola, the overdue David Bedford, Tom Newman and Mike Oldfield, in addition to covers of Dr. Who, Willow’s Track from The Wicker Guy and the theme from The Witchfinder Normal.
Reed is joined on Sanctuary Lined via common collaborators Les Penning, Tom Newman and vocalist Angharad Brinn.
“I really like reimagining nice compositions and the tracks in this assortment have very much influenced my musical output,” says Reed. “They’re songs that I heard via my adolescence years, like Chi Mai, via the mythical composer Ennio Morricone. It’s one of the vital haunting melodies he wrote and it was successful unmarried in the United Kingdom when I used to be a tender youngster and I recall taking part in it to demise. The 3 David Bedford tracks all carry again recollections of my blameless formative years and I vividly take note being attentive to the originals on a mono cassette participant in mattress.
